Starting off on the right foot…

Caring for your cloth diapers is very important since it can, if misunderstood, lead to complications. More than 98% of the time, using incompatible washing products or not caring properly for the cloth diapers is what causes the complications related to cloth diapering.

HOW TO PREP YOUR DIAPERS FOR THE FIRST TIME

-It is preferable to wash new diapers 3 times in hot water to rid the diapers of natural and weaving oils.

-First wash with detergent, following washes with water only.

-Machine dry at the end and set the machine on regular heat.

REGULAR WASH ROUTINE

Diapers should be washed every 2-3 days.
1- Rinse: Cold.
2- Wash: Warm or hot.
3- Rinse: Warm or hot.
4- Diapers can be machine or line dried.

Note:  If you hang dry your diapers, use the drier every 6 to 8 washes to tighten fibers and keep diapers waterproof.
** NEVER use a sanitary cycle, it destroys diapers**

WHAT ABOUT DETERGENTS?

We recommend washing with the following cloth diaper detergents; it will help you keep your diapers clean, residue free and reduce the wear and tear:
– Omaïki Laudry
– Bübble
– Rockin Green
– Claudia’s choice
– Nelly’s

If you do not have access or prefer using something else, make sure you stay clear of these ingredients:
– Oils and softeners
– Perfumes
– Enzymes
– Dies
– Brighteners

Most laundry soaps on the market will cause issues; liquids and pods are not recommended. If you must choose from what is easily accessible, the best alternative is powder detergent.
